Ambassador Chen Li attended The Finnish-Chinese Alumni Awards Gala Night


On August 12 2017, Ambassador Chen Li and Mme. Qin Sa attended the Finnish-Chinese Alumni Awards Gala Night held at the Alexander Theatre in Helsinki. Speaker of the Finnish Parliament, Mme. Maria Lohela, Chair of the Finland-China Friendship Group of the Finnish Parliament, Mme. Sanna Lauslahti with over 400 people including officials of Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture, Finnish friends from all walks of life and representatives of local Chinese community attended the event.

Ambassador Chen Li spoke highly of the role that the Chinese in Finland and the Finnish in China played in the field of cultural exchanges between China and Finland and expressed his sincere gratitude to the effort they made for bilateral relations and mutual friendship. He hoped that the event would draw interests of more Finnish to go and study in China, and contribute to further development of the China-Finland friendship.

As an event of the Finland 100 programme, the Gala was hosted by Finland-China Art & Culture Association and Finnish China Alumni to award Finnish nationals who have studied in China and made contributions to the advancement of mutual understanding and thus strengthened the friendship of the two nations. During the event, a series of performance were brought by Finnish and Chinese artists and highlighted cultural integration between two nations.
